Composition & Structure:
TR double-layer four-way stretch fabric is mainly composed of polyester (T) and rayon (R), blended in a certain ratio and crafted using a “double-layer weaving” process. A moderate amount of spandex (4%) is incorporated into both warp and weft directions. Its structural feature lies in the tight interweaving of upper and lower fabric layers: the outer layer is predominantly rayon to enhance skin-friendliness, while the inner layer uses polyester to boost crispness. Spandex is evenly distributed throughout the double layers, enabling “four-way stretch” with coordinated elasticity in both warp and weft directions.

Core Features:
✅ Enhanced Elasticity with Stronger Support: The double-layer structure stabilizes the spandex’s elasticity. When stretched, the upper and lower fibers constrain each other, ensuring sufficient elasticity (to accommodate large movements) while preventing excessive slack in a single layer. It rebounds quickly and maintains shape longer.
✅ Rich Textures with Clear Layers: The outer rayon delivers a soft, smooth touch, while the inner polyester provides moderate crispness. The double-layer design gives the fabric greater thickness and drape than regular TR fabrics, with a finer, fuller surface texture.
✅ Balanced Durability and Comfort: Polyester enhances abrasion resistance, reducing pilling and snagging. Rayon’s moisture absorption and breathability ensure a dry feel when worn close to the skin. The double-layer structure also improves wrinkle resistance, keeping the fabric free from stubborn creases after daily wear and washing.
Application Scenarios:
Autumn/Winter Outerwear: Such as short jackets and casual blazers. The double-layer structure provides ample crispness, while the stretch design makes putting on/taking off easier and ensures no tightness during movement.
Pants Series: Fleece-lined casual pants and high-waisted straight-leg pants. The double-layer fabric fits the waist and abdomen curves without constriction, with a crisp silhouette that flatters leg shape, balancing comfort and a slimming effect.
Dresses and Suits: Autumn/winter knitted dresses and two-piece sets. The double-layer stretch adapts to body movements, and the draped texture elevates the sophistication of the outfit, suitable for the workplace or daily outings.
Differences between TR/TTR/All-poly
Characteristics | TR Fabric | TTR Fabric | All – Polyester Fabric |
Composition | Polyester + Rayon | Polyester + Rayon + Spandex | 100% Polyester |
Advantages | Soft & skin – friendly, breathable, pill – resistant | Inherits TR’s comfort, PLUS flexible stretch (from spandex), better wrinkle recovery | Strong, wrinkle – resistant, dimensionally stable, durable |
Disadvantages | Fingerprints/stains show | Slightly higher cost than TR | Stiff handfeel; irritating for sensitive skin |
Wearing Experience | Perfect for close – fitting pieces (tees, innerwear) | Stretchy fit moves with you (ideal for yoga wear, body – con dresses), wrinkle – free hassle | Sharp silhouette, great for outerwear/workwear |
